NegativeSearch helps you find movie recommendations based on genres, things you want to avoid, providers, and saved movie lists. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

When you use the site, we may collect search choices such as selected genres, avoid chips, provider filters, result counts, sort choices, and basic interaction events like opening a trailer, clicking Where to watch, changing sort, or giving feedback.

If you sign in with Google, we store the account information Google provides to us, such as your Google account ID, email address, display name, profile image, and whether your email is verified.

If you save movies, we store your watchlist, watched movies, and movies you marked Not interested, along with basic movie information needed to show those lists.

Cookies

We use cookies for account sessions, persistent sign-in, and anonymous analytics. The account and persistent sign-in cookies keep you signed in. The anonymous analytics cookie helps us understand repeated use without requiring an account.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide movie recommendations, remember saved lists and settings, improve the quality of results, debug performance issues, prevent abuse, and understand which features are useful.

Third-Party Services

We use TMDB and TMDB APIs for movie data, posters, metadata, trailers, keywords, and watch-provider information. This website is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.

When you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes your login under Google's own policies. When you click outbound links such as Where to watch or trailer links, the destination site may collect information under its own policies.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information if required by law, to protect the site, or with service providers that help operate the app.

Data Retention

We keep account, saved list, settings, analytics, and interaction data for as long as needed to operate and improve the service, unless deletion is requested or retention is no longer necessary.

Your Choices

You can sign out at any time. You can remove saved movies from your watchlist, watched list, or Not interested list. You can also clear cookies in your browser to reset anonymous analytics and session cookies.
